Christmas Island historically has a reputation as an incredible international bonefish and giant trevally destination. The interior flats and backcountry channels of Christmas Island are a mix of hard white sand, shells, coral, and turtle grass, making a saltwater fly anglers nirvana. The sheer number of fish species & fly fishing opportunities a fly angler can expect during the week is astounding. An angler can rack up bonefish, three different species of trevally (GT’s, bluefin’s & golden’s), multiple species of triggerfish, milkfish, jacks, snappers and many more. It’s not uncommon to land more than a dozen different species during the week.
Front Range Anglers and Hawaii on the Fly have brought more than 450 Anglers to Christmas Island over the past six years. Let us help you give yourself an early Christmas present this summer and head down to Christmas Island!
