American Rivers Event

Join us for an evening with American Rivers

Join us for an evening to celebrate fly fishing and the rivers we depend on to enjoy the sport.

Join us at the shop on May 16th from 6:30-8:30 for a topic that's important to all of us; conserving the rivers we love to spend time on. We will be hosting Matt Rice, Colorado Conservation Director at American Rivers. He will be giving a brief presentation about what we can do to help conserve our rivers, and how you can get involved to help get the Colorado River, the recently named #1 threatened river in the country, off the threatened list!

Enjoy hors d'eurves and a special Bourbon tasting compliments of Breckenridge Distillery, as well as beverages from Avery Brewing Company and Redstone Meadery during the event.

RSVP by clicking here: jjay@AmericanRivers.org or call Julia Jay at 202-243-7033

Beverages provided by these fine folks! As an added bonus, we will also be giving away a Scott rod and a signed and framed Tim Romano print! This is an evening you won't want to miss!

You could win a Scott Rod!

About American Rivers

American Rivers LogoHealthy rivers are essential to the sport of fl y fi shing. American Rivers is the leading organization working to protect and restore the nation’s rivers and streams. Rivers connect us to each other, nature, and future generations. Since 1973, American Rivers has fought to preserve these connections, helping protect and restore more than 150,000 miles of rivers through advocacy effort and on-the-ground projects. Headquartered in Washington, DC, American Rivers has offices across the country and more than 100,000 supporters, members, and volunteers nationwide.

Each spring, American Rivers releases the America’s Most Endangered Rivers® report. Coming in at #1 in 2013 is our own Colorado River. The Colorado is so dammed, drained and diverted it dries up to a trickle before it reaches the sea. With drinking water supplies, fish and wildlife habitat, agriculture, and a lucrative recreation economy at stake—it’s time for people across the Basin to come together and put it on a path of recovery.
