Join FRA as we head up to the sometimes overlooked part of our great state, the North Park of Colorado. Participants will spend two days (Fri & Sat) fishing the Delany Buttes lakes as a "fish along". FRA will provide you with float tubes if you dont have one to dial in on some really huge fish that inhabit these amazing lakes. Fish here average in the 18in range and many fish over 26" are caught on a regular basis. We should be down there during the chironomid hatch and fishing bugs vertically through the water can be an incredible experience on these lakes.
On Sunday we will hook with a guide service and play the day by ear. We are really hoping to float North Gate Canyon on the North Platte, but the water might be dangerously high and off color, if that is the case we can fall back on plenty of great private water in the area. The other option we have is to float the Yampa River outside of Steamboat and shorten our drive home. Like I stated, we will let the guides decide what the most productive option will be for that time of year.
Regardless of what guided option we choose FRA will make sure that everyone gets into some great fishing over the weekend. This trip should be a memorable one and if you have ever wanted to unlock the secret to fishing lakes this trip is a must!
