These steelhead average 8-15lbs, but get as big as 20lbs! With access to 13 different streams there is no shortage of great water to fish on this journey. The trip is not for the feint of heart. It is a true Alaskan wilderness adventure. Call the shop for details.
Here are our 2018 Dates:
(April 8th – 14th): 3 spots available. This is the most intense steelhead fishing week. There are fewer fish in the streams so more ground needs to be covered by the clients and guides to get to them. The steelhead are typically larger this week and more wild and intense.

Chrome Chasers Details
Chrome Chasers Lodge is located in the town of Wrangell, on an island in South East Alaska. The accommodating open living areas upstairs overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the nearby Alaska Ferry Terminal. After a day of traversing the forests and streams, you can enjoy watching the sun set over the ocean and watch the occasional ship come into the harbor. The most delicious seafood dinners you may ever eat will be prepared in the kitchen, drenching you in gourmet smells as you relax and enjoy a drink. You can share your stories from the day with your fellow fisherman as the crab and shrimp that was pulled up from the pots on the way home becomes your center piece for dinner, (and part of breakfast too if you like!). Everyone can eat at the large dinning table that seats up to 10.
