"My Father taught me how to fly-fish in
Crested Butte one summer when I was 15. Although
I had been fishing since I was little for catfish
and bass in my Grandfather's pond in my home state
of Oklahoma I was enthralled by fly-fishing. After
a week of fishing here in Colorado I return to
the farm ponds and lakes of my home in Oklahoma.
Not wanting to end my new found love for fly-fishing
I decided I could catch bass on the fly. So I
got a big woolly bugger and tried to cast while
being laughed at by by lure casting friends. Slowly
I began to learn how to catch bass and gained
some respect from my friends. Over the years my
flies and skills have gotten better and now I
laugh at my friends when I out-fish them."
