Saturday Signature Fly Tying Series: Nick Camusi
October 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
It’s officially fly tying season!
Learn different skills and patterns every week! Join us on Saturday mornings to see some of the best tyers around spin up their signature patterns. Each week will offer up instruction, patterns and techniques for tyers of all levels. We guarantee that you’ll learn something new at each and every one! We will see you there with fresh coffee and hot patterns for Colorado and beyond.
With over 800 square feet devoted to tying tools and materials, FRA has the largest and most comprehensive tying inventory in the region.
This week we a pleased to have FRA Guide Nick Camusi tying for us. Nick grew up in the town of Chico, nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. A fisherman his whole life, Nick was introduced to fly fishing in his early teens, and was immediately drawn in by its techniques and challenges. He hasn’t turned back since. Nick moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado for his last two years of high school, where he was introduced to some of the best rivers in the state. After spending a couple of years perfecting his abilities on rivers like the Frying Pan and Roaring Fork, it was an easy decision to move to Boulder to go to school and explore the waters throughout the Front Range. Guiding and sharing his passion for the sport of fly fishing was the natural next step in his life, and nowadays Nick can be found on the river, hiking and camping in the backcountry, hanging out in the record store, or in the kitchen whipping up some mean Italian food.
