Christopher Knot

Here is a knot developed by Don Gore as a replacement for the Blood Knot or Surgeons Knot. It's a fast, easy, and strong way to add tippet material to your leader.

1. Overlap the monofilament section by 6". The leader end should be pointed to the left.
2. Pinch both end of the doubled section with your right thumb and index finger forming a large loop.
3. Place your left index finger inside the loop and twist it three times.

 
4. Pass your index finger and thumb and grasp the two free ends of the monofilament.
5. Pull the free ends through the loop and slowly tighten forming a loose knot
6. Moisten the knot and firmly tighten pulling on all four ends.
