Hello all:

It's starting to feel like spring around here, and our shop is humming with preparations for an immense line-up of special events coming your way. We've got 30 pre-book days on private water, a trip to Belize, Customer Appreciation Day on April 9th, Spey clinics, and much more. Keep an eye on your inbox and the announcements section of the newsletter to see what's going on. Some events require advance registration, so if you're interested please go ahead and sign up!

Our number one production tyer, Abby Leuchten (pictured at left), is almost finished with the Spring order of sparkly, pink, pretty flies for the Front Range Anglers fly inventory. Don't miss out, the price is right.

Tight lines,
Bill

Rod Building Classes: You can always buy a rod off the rack but it just won't have the distinctive look and feel of a rod designed and built just for you.

Learn to Spey Cast: Join us in April & May for a series of special spey clinics. All equipment included!

FLY TYING
The Hornberg: It’s old as dirt, fabricated with relatively simple materials, has been a fish catcher for over 50 years, and most anglers under 40 have never heard of it. During its heyday Gart Brothers in Denver couldn't keep enough Hornbergs in stock.

DESTINATIONS
Fishing the Florida Keys ~ Part I: It’s a good thing Danny Smith doesn't live near Saltwater. If he did, his friends and family would ever see him because of the bonefish, tarpon, permit, and so on. Last year he combined a honeymoon with a little time on the flats. This means his wife Christina is a Saint!

Southwater Caye, Belize: Join Front Range Anglers on a saltwater trip to this fabulous destination - May 2-8, 2005!

TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

Fishing the Wet Fly: Do you only fish drys, nymphs, and streamers? How about using a fly that can imitate any one of them?

10 Pointers for Nymphing: As the 2005 season gets underway you're going to be nymphing. Get started on the right foot.

Strike Indicators: Here are a few possibilities for rigging a strike indicator.

PRODUCT REVIEW
