May Carp Safari a Great Success
We had three guides and 10 anglers at our property outside of Longmont, Colorado (20 minutes from Boulder). Early morning was spent bass fishing with everyone scoring fish. I'm told that one fly fisherman caught a 6-pound Largemouth. As the day warmed the Carp began to cooperate in the ponds and on the Saint Vrain River.

Although the river fishing was difficult due to discolored water, good size carp could be seen in the shallows and back eddies. One angler nailed a 28-inch fish in one of the ponds. Crayfish patterns were consistently productive all day long.

Guess what?  We are planning one trip like the Spring Safari every month or so.  Each of these adventures will have a special focus.  Our next program is scheduled for May 24, 2006
