Book Review - "Guide Flies"

If you haven't seen this book and you like to tie flies, it's worth a look. It was written by David Klausmeyer, editor of Fly Tyer magazine and group editor of American Angler and Saltwater Fly Fishing magazines. His articles have appeared in Maine Sportsman, Fly Fisherman, American Angler, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Fly Tyer, and American Fly Fisher. He is also the author of "Tying Contemporary Saltwater Flies" and "Trout Streams of Northern New England".

Dave gives the reader a broad selection of patterns from top fishing guides from the streams and rivers across the country and the saltwater flats of Key West and California.

"Guide Flies" shows you the flies in beautiful, close-up color photographs. It gives you detailed recipes to be able to duplicate these flies at your own vise. Each contributor provides a synopsis of how the pattern was developed and how best to fish it.
