Size: 16 to 8 (can be tied in much smaller sizes – adjust hook and thread sizes)
Thread: 3/0 Monocord
Tail: None – tightly wrap red UTC wire towards the bend of the hook – size to match hook
Hackle: Brown hen or grizzly
Abdomen: Peacock herl reinforced with metallic green rainbow thread with Diamond Braid tied in over the back
Head: Bead head optional
Wing: Synthetic (numerous alternatives from soft and straight to kinky – experiment with various colors but keep it light)./ Use Diamond Braid or micro krystal flash as the under wing
