Hook: Standard Hook 1X or 2X heavy
Size: 16 to 8 (can be tied in much smaller sizes – adjust hook and thread sizes)
Thread: 3/0 Monocord
Tail: None – tightly wrap UTC wire (color to suit) towards the bend of the hook – size to match hook
Hackle: Brown hen or grizzly
Abdomen: Ice dubbing applied in a dubbing loop & picked out
Head: Fine black dubbing or color to suit. Mirage krystal flash outriggers on both sides or over the top
Wing: Synthetic (numerous alternatives from soft and straight to kinky – experiment with various colors but keep it light)./ Use Diamond Braid or micro krystal flash as the under wing
