Guided Fly Fishing Trips In Boulder Colorado
Front Range Anglers is committed to providing you with the best Colorado fly fishing guides and guided fly fishing experience possible. We have assembled one of the most professional and top notch guide teams in Boulder and on the front range. There are many fly-by-night guide operations out there, but unlike some others, our guides are properly permitted, CPR certified and fully insured. Do you really want to trust your one day on the water in the Rocky Mountains to someone who just does guiding on the side? Our professional guides are on the water every week, and during the height of the guiding season, typically every day.
With over fifteen guides on staff during the height of the season, we can typically accommodate any size group, any day of the year. So whether you’re looking for a guided day of fly fishing during a family reunion, college visit, bachelor party, couples day away, or business trip, we can customize your guided trip to exactly what you’re looking for.
Colorado’s Front Range and the area directly around Boulder offers a wide variety of fish species, excellent angling opportunities, and is best known for incredible and exciting dry fly fishing, making for an action packed day! From wild Brown Trout in Boulder Creek to gorgeous Cutthroat Trout in the high mountain lakes and streams of Rocky Mountain National Park, our goal is to give you lasting memories of a true rocky mountain fly fishing experience.

Details About Our Guide Services
We like to make this experience as easy and enjoyable as possible for you. Where other guide services will have hidden charges for equipment and flies, we include everything in the price of your trip. As required by the state, the only thing we cannot include is your Colorado fishing license. (The State of Colorado requires your Social Security Number AND a valid Photo ID. We can’t issue you a fishing license at the shop if you don’t bring both of these items with you. Please be prepared to provide this information. Also, clients 16 years of age or older MUST have a fishing license.)
- Our guided fly-fishing trips include all of the necessary equipment, if needed, including a premium fly rod and reel tailored to your destination, Simms waders and boots, and your flies.
- Your FRA guide will provide safe and comfortable transportation to and from your fishing destination. If needed, they can even pick you up from any location around Boulder.
Large Groups and Corporate Trips

All full day trips include a freshly prepared lunch catered from Great Harvest Bread Company of Boulder. Great Harvest is known for their freshness and quality of their ingredients, baking everything from scratch daily! If you are booking a full day fly-fishing trip, please review this menu to custom build a lunch order to suit your group. We are happy to address any dietary concerns you may have, or if you would like to include any special orders for food and beverage, just let us know.
Cured, our good friends who happen to be Boulder’s premier artisan food store, help feed our hungry anglers while out on the water, providing a gourmet lunch so good the fish are guaranteed to bite, simply because they want in on lunch! They can help with something as simple as boxed lunches stocked with the most mouthwatering sandwiches, drinks, chips and cookies in town, or style you out with a full artisanal picnic, complete with wine glasses, triple cremes and charcuterie to boot. Whichever route you go, you’re lunch will be so good you might even forget to tell friends about the 20” cutthroat you caught that day!
