Must Have Basic Scuds - Scuds are the most common freshwater crustaceans and are present in mind boggling numbers in lakes, spring creeks, and virtually all tailwaters. Despite the fact that trout pursue and eat them year round, few anglers bother to carry scud patterns. Or if they do, they have one or two generic versions. Paul is going to tie a half dozen patterns that should be in your fly box.
