The wait is over! Sign up for the FRA San Juan River Trip!

We would like to invite you to join us, February 25-26 on our annual spring fly fishing trip to the beautiful San Juan River in Northern New Mexico. This is a great way to kick off the upcoming fishing season down in the high desert below Navajo Dam.  For those of you who have never fished this stretch it has 15,ooo fish per mile!  The best part is, they are willing to take dries, nymphs, and streamers. 

Our group rate includes 2 nights lodging (double occupancy), 1 day guided float trip and one day of wade fishing, Saturday breakfast, and 12 flies. Guiding on Saturday will be done by “Fisheads of the San Juan”, and the trip will also be hosted by several members of the FRA staff. Total cost for the trip is $375.00. That’s like getting the lodging and extras for free!

An additional night's lodging for Sunday night can be added for $50.00 per night if you would like to extend your trip.

*Transportation, dinner(s), Guide Gratuity and NM Fishing license not included.

Early spring in Northern NM can be quite temperate, usually 40° - 50°, but you should be prepared for colder conditions.  The overnight lows can be very cold and the desert takes a while to really warm up. 

Drive time is approximately 7 hrs.
