Introduction to Fly Fishing Classes
Various Sundays starting in April
At the shop and on local water
The purpose of this introductory course is to provide a beginner's most basic look at the world of fly fishing. This class is for the "never ever". The class is a one day, four hour class that begins with 2 hours of classroom instruction covering knots, basic rigging, the basics of dry fly fishing and nymphing, and learning the basics of entomology.
The second part of the class is conducted at a nearby lake and students are taught the fundamentals of casting simulated drifting, simulated landing, river etiquette and trout habitat.

An Evening with American Rivers

Join us for an evening to celebrate fly fishing and the rivers we depend on to enjoy the sport. We will be hosting Matt Rice, Colorado Conservation Director at American Rivers. He will be giving a brief presentation about what we can do to help conserve our rivers, and how you can get involved to help get the Colorado River, the recently named #1 threatened river in the country, off the threatened list!
Enjoy a special Bourbon tasting, compliments of Breckenridge Distillery, as well as beverages from Avery Brewing Company and Redstone Meadery during the event.

Women's Wednesdays

Front Range Anglers is pleased to announce our new education program created specifically for the female angler. The goal of the program is to increase the depth and breadth of the women's angling community, both in knowledge and numbers.
Presentation topics will cover numerous aspects of the sport, including equipment selection and use, rigging and knots, stream-craft, fishing techniques, insect identification, and proper fly selection. For many of these topics we will address issues specifically pertinent to women. Both presentation and hands-on formats will be used throughout our events. Moreover, there will be an opportunity to participate in several in-the-water programs with an instructor.
