Similar to other Confluence Films projects, WAYPOINTS is a multisegment collection of individual stories shot around the world in both fresh and salt water. Created by the same team that brought us Drift, Rise and Connect, Chris Patterson and Jim Klug, WAYPOINTS promises to be one of the best multi-destination flyflishing films ever made.
Location: Etown Hall 1535 Spruce St, Boulder, CO
Date: November 8th 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online or at Front Range Anglers. Online ticket purchases must be picked up at Front Range Anglers. All tickets must be picked up by 7 p.m. on Nov. 8th as there will be no will-call at the event location.
This premiere is happening one-night-only. WAYPOINTS is being launched via a synchronized, nationwide and international "world premiere night" on Friday, November 8, 2013 throughout the country and throughout the world! It's a night you won't want to miss!
We're kicking off this fantastic evening in style! You are cordially invited to join the Front Range Anglers crew and The Greenbacks at the shop on Friday, November 8th from 3-6:30 p.m. for a fancy shmancy pre-party, right before we head over to the synchronized worldwide premiere of WAYPOINTS! It will be just like Hollywood, without any wardrobe malfunctions!
We'll have Moe's world famous BBQ pork sliders paired up with liquid refreshments from Upslope and Redstone Meadery to make it taste even better! We'll be showing some of the previous Confluence Films flicks on our big screens just to get you prepared for the epic awesomeness that you are about to see! Also, don't miss some of the special in-store deals we have been saving just for this event!
Beyond an amazing night of epic cinematography and gratuitous worldwide fly fishing porn, November 8th will also be a much needed conservation event for front range fisheries. Front Range Anglers, in conjunction with The Greenbacks and TU have created a relief fund called "Restore the 'Range." This fund, managed by TU, will be used for special clean-up and restoration projects for front range watersheds affected by the historic flooding in September of 2013. As more and more access is restored into the areas hit hardest by the flood, assessments will be made for which watersheds need the most habitat restoration and clean-up. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit the "Restore the 'Range" fund.
In addition to monies directly raised through the event, FRA will also be donating 10% of revenue from all Boulder Creek guide trips between now and November 8th to the fund. The fall is a great time to be on the Creek, and it has already shown its resiliency and is fishing very well! So book your trip today to help contribute! All ticket sales are tax deductible too!
WAYPOINTS is a multi-segmented fly fishing film shot all around the world. With segments that include Giant Trevally in St. Brandon's Atoll in the Indian Ocean, Trout in Patagonian Chile, Southeast Alaska for Steelhead, India for Golden Mahseer, and the jungles of Venezuela for Payara, WAYPOINTS promises to be one of the finest, most exotic and most ambitious film of the year! Check out the trailer below to get just a taste of what you're in for!
The two partners of Confluence Films, Chris Patterson (below left) and Jim Klug (below right), have at least 40 years of experience each in their respective roles for Waypoints—writing, directing, filming, editing, producing, planning travel and arranging logistics. For this film they strived to get even farther off the grid, finding the most remote places and most interesting people. More information about the film can be found at the Confluence Films website.
