Fishing around Namotu is great all year long with many different species on offer. Our fishing boat, the Mai Kana, supplies fish for our restaurant and each week has a resident fisherman who is in charge of ensuring we are fully stocked so guests can enjoy fresh Yellowfin tuna Spanish Mackerel sashimi, barbecued ruby snapper, and many more tasty delights.
The fisherman will usually head out in the morning and afternoon and guests are more than welcome to jump on board and do some angling. There is no better place to get a taste of fishing than Namotu because it’s so close; most of the time our fishing boat is within sight of the island so you’re not trapped in lengthy charters and can always head back in for lunch. Travel Details
Upon arrival in Nadi airport you will be greeted by our friendly Namotu Island staff. Your journey to the island begins aboard one of our private air conditioned buses for the 45 minute ride through Nadi town and down to the coast. A Namotu long boat will meet you at the Marriott Momi Bay and bring you across to the island, which usually takes about 25 minutes.
All your baggage and sporting equipment will travel with you and will be delivered directly to your bure.
If requested by prior arrangement, a helicopter can fly you to the island in less than ten minutes.
If you’re flying out later on Saturday you’ll spend the day at the Marriott. Enjoy lunch, relax by the pool and then our transfer service will take you to the airport.
Onward travel
If you’d like to extend your trip to Fiji or simply book an extra night or two before your visit to Namotu, we recommend the Marriott Momi Bay. Use our special rate to book your accommodation.

Travel Documents Needed
DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSPORT. A valid passport is required to enter Fiji. It’s recommended that you carry a change of clothing and your necessary personal items such as medications in your carry-on bag. Although there has not had a substantial problem with lost luggage, this can help prevent some major headaches.
All U.S. citizens are required to have a valid passport that does not expire within six (6) months of trip dates. Please be sure that your passport has at least two blank, unstamped pages remaining in the back, and that it is not torn, de-laminated, or damaged in any way.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
At the time of booking 50% of the trip is due and payable. At 90 days the remainder plus all VAT and taxes are due. Cancellation greater than 90 days from the date of trip, all monies refunded less $100 fee if a replacement angler is found. Cancellation within 90 Days, no refunds are provided unless a qualified replacement angler is provided. No refunds are provided for trip cancellation due to Weather, Acts of God, Airline/Travel issues.
