How can I get the FCS QR Code?

When the Spanish authorities can request you to show the FCS QR Code?

Please take into account that airlines or maritime companies may ask you for the FCS QR code before boarding and the personnel of the control devices in the airports and ports at the point of arrival may also require you to present it.

What about if I am travelling in a cruise?

In case of international cruises, a specific form is required to replace the FCS (see form).

All passengers arriving in Spain as their final destination must undergo a health check on arrival at the first entry point. This control will include, at least, the temperature measurement, a documentary control and a visual control on the state of the passenger. If you are in transit check the specific rules. Experts, beginners, and non-anglers can all be accommodated for a well-rounded travel experience; and it’s possible to make this a memorable holiday for companions who don’t fish and prefer to sightsee, explore ancient villages and national parks, or learn more about Spanish culture, including the delights of its food and wine.

This flexibility and expertise makes Salvelinus a unique operation in Europe. Add a trip to Spain or a Mediterranean Cruise to a week in any of these lodges and you will have a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you and your loved ones.

“My philosophy has always been fishing where others cannot reach. Thirty years of scouting gave me enough options to operate two fly-fishing lodges in the Pyrenees, with the first established in 1999. When we noticed our guests’ most precious time was shared among loved ones, we incorporated a full range of customizable experiences at both lodges. We also developed private wine tours in La Rioja or San Sebastian, taking place before or after the visit to the lodges. Finally, I designed, under the seal of secrecy, the Ultimate Pyrenees Tour: an unparalleled multi-destination itinerary to fly fish at its best times and spots from one end of the Pyrenees to the other.”

Ivan Tarin, Founder of SALVELINUS

The Fishing

Explore the charm of Eastern Pyrenees with Salvelinus

From UNESCO’s biosphere reserves or preserved National Parks to recondite fly fishing spots, 700 miles of river and 20 lakes within an hour drive from Salvelinus’ Eastern Pyrenees location, Arén Lodge. Truly magnificent valleys between Spain and France set against a setting of rugged alpine wilderness and filled with sparkling waters as clear as glass.

March 1st to November 30th

AREN LODGE

Fly fish a selection of major wild trout rivers and streams of the Pyrenees from Arén; a medieval village from where you can explore a variety of waters for all skill levels, delve into local culture and history, or get carried away by the superb hearty cuisine crafted in the lodge’s 300 years old private restaurant.

Early Spring offers great BWOs. The best Summer fishing is in the highlands. Stable weather in late October and November bring productive nymphing.

Accommodations

Premier European Fly Fishing Lodges For Anglers And Travel Companions.

Both lodges have stunning mountain village location and both are rich in medieval history. The unique rule of both lodges is “make yourself at home.”

SANTA CILIA Fishing Lodge, in Western Pyrenees, is a 15th-century palace transformed into a cozy. five-room fly-fishing lodge that sits the banks of the Aragon River at the ancient village of Santa Cilia.

The old winepress building, used by the monks of the Monastery of San Juan de la Peña 500 years ago, is now a bar lounge for the anglers. Swap stories at the end of each day over a glass of wine as you anticipate the day ahead.

There is a terrace by the river, a wader room, a fly shop, massage room, as well as a dining room converted from an old stable.

AREN Lodge, in Eastern Pyrenees, is located in a 10th-century village within the natural boundary formed by the neighboring high-country area. The area remained untouched until the 20th century, and it is accessible through the Sopeira gorge.

This is not a traditional fishing lodge, but a wonderful, intimate, traditional hotel nested in the village of Aren. It has a 30-guest capacity: 4 suites, 2 apartments, and 8 bedrooms, fully furnished.

Travel Details

Best International Airport is Barcelona: it is a two and a half hour drive  to the lodge. Lleida RENFE Rail Station is well connected via AVE high- speed trains with main cities in Spain, and it is one hour and a quarter to the lodge.
