Explore the vibrant flats of Sudan
July 26, 2016 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm MDT
Sudan‘s Nubian Flats, located along the Red Sea’s western coastline, represent a true frontier in the world of saltwater fly fishing. Still very much in the discovery phase, these flats and coral atolls are some of the most vibrant and diverse of their kind, and may be considered among the most pristine on the planet. Target species for the fly angler range from triggerfish and bonefish to giant trevally, bohar snapper and dogtooth tuna – and that’s just the beginning. Getting there, however, isn’t as hard as you might think. Easier and more affordable than the Seychelles, Maldives, Mauritius or St. Brandon’s. Yet, any given group will likely be the only sport anglers in the time zone. Sound too good to be true?
Come find out more with photographer Russ Schnitzer and angler Matt Rice as they share their recent experience, and discuss opportunities for future trips.
