An event every week that begins at 1:00pm on Sunday, repeating until March 4, 2018
Fly fishing as a whole is a very rewarding sport due to the thrills you receive from working so hard for just one fish. But when you add in the fact that you caught that one fish on a fly you tied, that feeling is amplified. In this class, we will start with the basics and eventually finish off with some more difficult patterns. My goal is to set everyone up with the skills and confidence to spend time on the vise and create that next great fly.
The first day will be devoted to understanding the flies at an intricate level. We will learn how to start and finish every fly, looking at entomology and tying a few basic and easier flies. The second week will take our skills on step forward with using different materials to achieve the ideal nymph or dry fly. Mainly we will focus on ribbing, dubbing and more entomology. As we enter the final week we will start to deal with tying easier dries and then finishing off with a dry/nymph fly that will test your skills that you have learned over the past few weeks.
The cost for this three-week class is $150.00.
The class will run on Sunday afternoons from 1 pm-3 pm February 18th, 25th, and March 4th.
