Redfish Rundown with Wallace Westfeldt
November 8, 2014 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm MST
After lots of arm twisting FRA’s very own Wallace Westfeldt graciously volunteered to go on a few trips (we think he secretly did some research on his guarded Sazerac recipe while on assignment too) to see what options are available around the country for Redfish. After multiple successful trips Wallace is ready to report back with his findings and share what he learned!
His presentation will cover fishing for Redfish throughout the U.S. including Georgia, Louisiana, Texas and Alabama. It will be a quick run-down of what Redfish are and why you should add them to your target list, as well as where and when to chase them. He also has made some great contacts in these regions if you’re looking for a Redfish guide recommendation.
He’ll arm you with maps of the regions, information on recommended guides and outfitters in the area, as well as the equipment you should have with you. He’ll also set expectations of what chasing these fish is like.
In summary if you’re looking for a great gateway fish into the world of saltwater, Redfish is a great domestic option and Wallace can show you how to get after them!
Grab some lunch during the presentation
Note that we will be serving a special Cajun dish during Wallace’s presentation, so if you’re planning on attending please shoot us a note so we know how much to have on hand.
A sneak peek
Here’s a peek into some of the fun that Wallace had while on “assignment”.
