"Dedicated to bringing people and fish together"
March 2005

For all of you who are on the fence about starting to tie your own flies, this whiz-bang $559 Renzetti Master vise makes it a breeze, even for those with the attention span of a 4-year old.

Hello all:

It's starting to feel like spring around here, and our shop is humming with preparations for an immense line-up of special events coming your way. We've got 30 pre-book days on private water, a trip to Belize, Customer Appreciation Day on April 9th, Spey clinics, and much more. Keep an eye on your inbox and the announcements section of the newsletter to see what's going on. Some events require advance registration, so if you're interested please go ahead and sign up!

Our number one production tyer, Abby Leuchten (pictured at left), is almost finished with the Spring order of sparkly, pink, pretty flies for the Front Range Anglers fly inventory. Don't miss out, the price is right.

Tight lines,

NEW SHOP HOURS: Front Range Anglers will be open on Sundays 10:00am - 4:00pm. Hours remain 9:30am - 6:00pm Monday through Saturday.

ELK TROUT!: This year we're running a trip to Elk Trout on Tuesday, May 31. The cost is $180, and the trip is limited to 9 anglers. Click here for more info on fishing Elk Trout. [Please note: you can sign up for this trip by paying in person at the shop, or online. We are not taking phone registration for this trip.] Click here to register and pay online.

Rod Building Classes: You can always buy a rod off the rack but it just won't have the distinctive look and feel of a rod designed and built just for you.

Fly of the Month Club: Coming in April ~ Front Range Anglers' brand new Fly of the Month Club!

Learn to Spey Cast: Join us in April & May for a series of special spey clinics. All equipment included!

The Hornberg: It’s old as dirt, fabricated with relatively simple materials, has been a fish catcher for over 50 years, and most anglers under 40 have never heard of it. During its heyday Gart Brothers in Denver couldn't keep enough Hornbergs in stock.

Fishing the Florida Keys ~ Part I: It’s a good thing Danny Smith doesn't live near Saltwater. If he did, his friends and family would ever see him because of the bonefish, tarpon, permit, and so on. Last year he combined a honeymoon with a little time on the flats. This means his wife Christina is a Saint!

Southwater Caye, Belize: Join Front Range Anglers on a saltwater trip to this fabulous destination - May 2-8, 2005!

Fishing the Wet Fly: Do you only fish drys, nymphs, and streamers? How about using a fly that can imitate any one of them?

10 Pointers for Nymphing: As the 2005 season gets underway you're going to be nymphing. Get started on the right foot.

Strike Indicators: Here are a few possibilities for rigging a strike indicator.

Winston Boron iiX Update: Winston has expanded its incredibly popular line of Bornon IIx rods. A lot of words have been written out their beauty, light weight, ability to punch-out line, and so on. In the end when you cast one of these rods you'll know what all the excitement is about.

Marc Petitjean's Magic Tool Instructional DVD: Are you confused about how to use the Marc Petitijean's Magic Tool? Well you're not alone. Here's a shortcut to success.

What's Going on Here?: Sometimes we are not the only species fishing.
