Christmas Island: Unhosted
Looking for a Special Summer or Fall Saltwater Angling Adventure? Front Range Anglers, the Boulder, CO-based U.S. Outfitter for the Ikari House, can get you fishing the world famous flats of Christmas Island right now! Wade the sparkling white sand flats for GT’s, bonefish, and triggerfish. If you don’t want to head down on a hosted week, Front Range Anglers can still get you there. Our 2018 unhosted weeks are only $2700.
Christmas Island historically has a reputation as an incredible international bonefish and giant trevally destination. The interior flats and backcountry channels of Christmas Island are a mix of hard white sand, shells, coral, and turtle grass, making a saltwater fly anglers nirvana. The sheer number of fish species & fly fishing opportunities a fly angler can expect during the week is astounding. An angler can rack up bonefish, three different species of trevally (GT’s, bluefin’s & golden’s), multiple species of triggerfish, milkfish, jacks, snappers and many more. It’s not uncommon to land more than a dozen different species during the week.
