Weather was sunny and 75, and water was clear with flows at 270 cfs. We fished from 9:30-1:30 and had lots of fish. We fished dry dropper rigs throughout the day. At the beginning and end of the day, we fished chubby Chernobyls with larger weighted nymphs (Frenchies and blowtorches, size 16) 18-24 inches below the dry and getting fish to take the bottom flies. From about 10:30-12 lots of caddis were coming off the water and fish were eagerly rising to dries. We sized down to elk hair caddis and parachute Adams dries (size 16) on top with olive zebra midges and red two-bit hookers (size 18-20) on the bottom. Fish were taking all of those flies eagerly for that time period, and we landed our biggest fish right along slower running banks with dries. Try and get out while the flows are still down and check out the river!
