Report Summary

Pre-runoff fishing is great on Boulder Creek. Fish are very active on a variety of nymphs and dries. Baetis, midges, and a few caddis are coming off, through out the day. Flows are still very low above the falls so fishing will be more difficult in the higher reaches of the canyon. Stick to the pockets, pools, and runs of the lower canyon. Try a JC’s special (#16-18) and drop a pheasant tail, frenchie, or black zebra midge (#16-20) below and you will catch fish.
