Report Summary

Antonio was out on the creek yesterday.  Here is his report.

“Cold and Snowy day at B.C. Canyon (30 to 37F).

The water above Four Mile Canyon still at a perfect level and pretty clear, but very cold.

The fishing in the first hours of day was very hard and we had some takes only around 10am. The real action came after 12:30, and with a small increase in the water temperature the fish started to feed.

Chubby on top, PT (sizes 14 and 16) and Jigged Caddis Pupa are still producing most of the fish. Elk Air Caddis, Parachute Adams, and Purple Haze can be very fun if fishing a single fly rig.

It is good to see that the fish are already spread out what make the fishing way more fun!”

As always, with weather like this, be careful driving up and down B.C. Canyon.  Roads can be icy and pullouts are less obvious.  If you are wearing felt boots, be extra cautious on the snow covered/ice covered rocks.

Good luck out there!
