Boulder Creek is holding steady. FRA Guide Randy Hanner was out yesterday and fishing conditions were promising.
“Foggy, rainy and cold are the best way to describe today’s weather. Despite the miserable conditions (constant rain and 40 degree air temps), Boulder Creek remained at a steady 90 cfs. It was a little dirty, but fish were still very active. The water temps had dropped due to the cold air and cold rain entering the river, but that did not deter the fish from taking a chubby chernobyl and a frenchie dropper. We caught good numbers of fish concentrating on the slower and deeper water between 4-mile canyon and the falls. Runoff could start any time so get out there while we still have fishable water.” ~Randy H.
After tomorrow the weather is supposed to turn and get better. The fishing should be good!
