Boulder Creek is fishing quite well, Flows have dropped since last week giving way to great conditions on the creek. Fish were actively feeding above and below the surface in deep, slow-moving stretches, behind rocks, and in eddies. Browns were eager to bite chubby Chernobyls and smaller caddis patterns on the surface. Bright, attractor nymphs did the trick below the surface; be sure to fish droppers deep (18-28in) and you should see plenty of bites. The bites happened quickly and often occurred within the first two seconds of the flies landing on the water. Later in the day, when getting consistent rejections on larger nymphs, small zebra midges (Size #18) were producing fish.
Reccomended Flies: Purple blowtorch #16, blue poison tung #18, Green chubby chernobyl #12 & #14, CDC caddis #16
