Report Summary

Clear Creek has finally come down and has been fishing great. Dry/Dropper sets with Stimmies, Chubbies, PMX, and Elk Hair Caddis on top and trailed by PT’s, 2 Bits, Electric Caddis, Tung teasers, and Copper Johns producing fish during the day. Afternoon hatches can occur on cloudy afternoons providing good dry opportunities for BWO’s, PMD’s, and Drakes upstream from Idaho Springs. Parachute Adams, Film Critics, and CDC Comparaduns have all been producing well. On Clear hot days be prepared to get deep, fishing the fore-mentioned nymphs along the bottom for success. Evening dry fly bite has remained solid with Elk Hair, and CDC Caddis imitations working best.
