The Park is starting to fish all over and FRA Guide Nick D. was out yesterday and gives you a quick update.
“Upper Moraine on fire with pink squirmy and Anatomay. Fish in riffles with water somewhat high but very clear. 10 caught. Upper Fall River fished good on a pink squirmy as well. Fall is very low and clear. 5 caught. Fished the alluvial fan up to the falls. Caught 3 in tiny pockets including 1 cutthroat. Glacier very slow, fish in deep pools but really lethargic. 1 caught. Thompson above the lake incredibly crowded. Orange eggs and north fork special worked well. Caught 6. Did the grand slam for the day, pretty awesome. The park is turning on and will be an option once water comes up across the state. Many of these rivers will fish deeper into run-off and some will fish throughout run-off.” ~Nick D.
Never fished the park? Hire a professional FRA guide to show you around for the day. We love sharing new spots with our guests and would be excited to show you some good early summer spots throughout RMNP. Give us a call!
