Report Summary

Fishing in the national park is still quite hot. Hopper dropper rigs were extremely productive at landing fish feeding both on and below the surface. Larger browns were willingly coming up from for chubby Chernobyl’s, Amy’s Ants and large green drakes. Small earth-colored nymphs also produced plenty of fish 12-18in below the surface. Slow, deep holes made sight fishing possible, but fish were spooked and stopped feeding when encroached upon. Overall, conditions in the park are great, and fish were opportunistically feeding and going after larger patterns. Methodically working the long cut banks will lead to a high count on the day.
