Green River, UT

The Green River is an amazing place to fish and with over 12,000 fish per mile, there are plenty of fish to look at.

We floated the famous “A” section for two days. The dry fly fishing was pretty good, but we were on the front end of both the BWOs starting to hatch and a cold front. With that said, there were a ton of Midges coming off.  The second day we floated was filled with light rain, snow and heavy snow. The streamer fishing was really solid and we tested out the new Winston Boron Plus series rods matched with the new Scientific Anglers Sonar Triple-Density fly lines, spooled on Hatch reels. The new Winston Rod is nothing short of amazing. If you are in the market for a new fast action rod, the Winston B3 Plus 5 or 6 weight may be the answer.

If you heading up, be sure to call Trout Creek Flies for up to date fishing conditions.  Their new restaurant has amazing food and their new cabins are ready to keep you warm if the weather goes south.  FRA can load you up on the necessary flies, accessories, and anything else you may need.
