Rocky Mountain National Park is fishing AMAZING right now! Our guide, Nick D. was able to land a Grand Slam in the park yesterday!
Performing that feat isn’t easy on your own, talk to one of our guides to find out how you can get your Grand Slam before the waters become hard to fish.

Boulder Creek

It looks like we have seen the last snow and it is starting to warm up. That means the fishing is also getting hot and they are feeding on the bigger bugs.  We probably have a short window on Boulder Creek before the water comes up.  With a nice warm forecast, the fishing should warm up in the morning and be productive all day

Big Thompson

The Big Thompson is hovering at 125 CFS which is a perfect flow for fishing in the Canyon.  Wading access is good and the water isn’t too fast.  Nymphing is the name of the game in the mornings.  Try double nymph rigs suspended under an indicator.  Best flies right now are Bishop’s Dynamite, Soft Hackle Sow Bugs, Poison Tungs, Rainbow Warriors, and Copper Ribbed RS2’s.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Upper Moraine on fire with pink squirmy and Anatomay. Fish in riffles with water somewhat high but very clear. 10 caught. Upper Fall River fished good on a pink squirmy as well. Fall is very low and clear. 5 caught.
