Sheridan Anderson, self-described “foe of the work ethic,” has put together a beginner fly-fishing book that is an illustrated guide to “the art of fly fishing on moving water” that one must see to fully appreciate. There is much wisdom in this introduction to a difficult sport, all presented in a large cartoon format. Like William Nealy’s Kayak, Anderson takes advantage of his multimedia approach to explain aspects of fly fishing, through both words and drawings, that might otherwise be lost on the neophyte. All this is conveyed with a good sense of humor, something beginning fly fishers need in abundance. Beginner fly-fishing book in soft cover. 48 pages.
