GREENBACK CUTTHROAT TROUT
The only native species in Rocky Mountain National Park –Colorado State Fish!
The most beautiful species due to their red, pink and or orange large markings underneath their jaws.
Maximum size is up to 18 inches.
RAINBOW TROUT
The most common and recognizable of the trout species due to their distinguished pink stripe. Average in size ranging from 12-16 inches.
BROWN TROUT
Named after their color with a consistent spotted pattern throughout their bodies. Preference is to reside warmer waters which will be found at the base of RMNP. Averaging in size 13-17 inches.
BROOK TROUT
‘Brookies’ are known for their dark green color accompanied with red-orange spots along running the length of the fish. Smallest of the species in RMNP growing up to 12 inches.
