Chest Packs
A fly fishing chest pack keeps your flies, tippet, and tools right where you can see them, without the bulk of a full vest or the sway of a sling bag. That makes a chest pack a favorite for anglers who wade a lot, hike into small streams like the ones around Boulder, or just want less gear flopping around while they cast.
Most fishing chest packs on this page hold one or two fly boxes, tippet spools, and a few tools, with an accessory dock or D-rings for a net or forceps. A handful of models — like the Umpqua ZS2 — use welded, waterproof construction if you're wading deep or fishing from a boat; most others are water-resistant, which covers you for splashes and rain but not full submersion.
