Guanaja is the easternmost of Honduras's Bay Islands, its remoteness preserving a fishing environment that feels genuinely untouched. The bonefish here are among the least pressured in the Caribbean — willing to eat, actively tailing, and not spooked at sixty feet. Permit are well-represented on both interior flats and deeper reef cuts, with far less competition from other boats than in the celebrated fisheries of Belize or Mexico.
