Bear Creek River Report
1-21-2026
Flows are low, and there are a lot of areas with ice, so fishing can be difficult. This week, temperatures are expected to be very cold, meaning there will be little, to no water to fish until we get a bit of a warm up. Your primary hatch will be Midges.
Please note that we will now be updating the River Reports weekly, typically on Wednesdays until warm weather returns.
...
For dries, use a Slick Midge, Film Critic, Chubby Chernobyl, Morgan's Midge, Mole Fly, Parachute Adams, Hi Viz Quill Midge, Griffith's Gnat, and a Hippy Stomper.
...
For subsurface presentation use a Lil Bit, RS-2, Juju Baetis, Mid Weight Scud, Zebra Midge, AR's Perdigon, Bling Midge, Mini Thin Mint, Tung Stud, and a EZ Egg.
