Bear Creek River Report
Bear Creek River Report
11-4-2025
Flows are level, and the fishing remains pretty good. Most the fish are spawned out, but if you see any spawners, leave them be, and continue to watch out for redds. This will ensure many more years of good fishing. With the cooler nights, a super early start is not neccesary, as it can take a bit for the fish to wake up. If you do need a quick before work start, fish areas with sun. These will be your best bet in the AM. So far over the weekend, no mud has entered the creek, which is great. Hopefully that operation responsible has shut down, or cleaned up their act. As per usual, places like Lair O' The Bear have been getting the most pressure, so we recommend a smaller pulloff for better success.
Primary hatches are Midges (currently the largest hatch, but fish haven't been showing much interest in the adults), Terestrials, BWO's and Caddis (the smaller the better).
...
For dries, use a AR's BWO Adult, Film Critic, Chubby Chernobyl, High Viz BWO, Mole Fly, Parachute Adams, Roza's Red Butt Caddis, Superman Caddis, and a Hippy Stomper.
...
For subsurface presentation use a Lil Bit, RS-2, Juju Baetis, Mid Weight Scud, Prairie Doggin' Pupa, AR's Perdigon, Crust Nymph, Mini Thin Mint, Tung Stud, and a AR's Perdigon.
