Bear Creek River Report

Bear Creek River Report

9-22-2025

Flows are dropping, but expect a boost today and tomorrow with the rain, as well as some falling water temps. This could discolor the water, if there is a heavy rain naerby. Wednesday, we are back to dry weather and the water clarity should improve. As per usual, places like Lair O' The Bear have been getting the most pressure, so we recommend a smaller pulloff for better success.
Primary hatches are Drakes (sparse), PMDs, Cranflies, Midges, and Caddis (the smaller the better).

...

For dries, use a Crane Fly, Ferminsky Drake, Chubby Chernobyl, AR's PMD, Head Light Sally, Parachute Adams, Roza's Red Butt Caddis, Superman Caddis, and a Hippy Stomper.

...

For subsurface presentation use a Lil Bit, Jujubee Midge, Juju Baetis, Mop Fly, Prairie Doggin' Pupa, Spanish Bullet, Panty Dropper PMD, Tung Poudre Pupa, Arizona Nymph, Iron Sally, and a AR's Perdigon.
