Bear Creek River Report
Bear Creek River Report
5-27-2025
Flows are up due to recent rains. The water can be pretty muddy if the rains have been heavy, but generally will slowly clear up as the day progresses. When the water is muddy, fishing can be pretty tough. Fishing pressure continues to be very heavy in the main pull offs, so we recommend the smaller pulloffs, which generally produce better with less picky fish. Midges, BWO's and a fewCaddis will be your primary hatches.
...
For dries, use a Micro Chubby, High Viz BWO, Peacock Cluster, Dry Humper, Parachute Adams, Roza's Red Butt Caddis, Superman Caddis, and a Hippy Stomper.
...
For subsurface presentation use a Lil Bit, Jujubee Midge, Juju Baetis, Rainbow Warrior, Prairie Doggin' Pupa, Spanish Bullet, Zebra Midge, Tung Poudre Pupa, a SOS Nymph, and a AR's Perdigon.
