The Gunnison River
Fly fishing in the Gunnison River is world renowned among fly fishing enthusiasts. Known for its large wild rainbows and brown trout, the resource stands above most fisheries in the United States.

Gunnison River Expeditions specializes in wade and float/camp fishing trips in this gold medal trout fishery. The guides are experienced and professional and will offer the best the Gunnison River fly fishing experience available.

The Salmon Fly Hatch
One of the things that makes fishing on the Gunnison River most unique is its prolific salmonfly hatch. Each year around the beginning to middle of June, these massive bugs hatch in droves, bringing every single fish in the river to the surface. This hatch is truly a sight to behold, and it can provide anglers with the best opportunity of the year to catch large trout on dry flies!
