Bear Creek River Report
4-13-2026
Bear Creek has been a pretty solid choice, but the fish can be spooky with the flows, so be careful approaching the creek. Fish are still spread out in more of pre-run off pattern. Your primary hatches will be Midges, and BWO's, however, small numbers of Caddis are popping on occasion.
...
For dries, use a Slick Midge, Film Critic, Chubby Chernobyl, Superman Caddis, All Season Caddis, No See Um Hi Viz in BWO, Hi Viz Quill Midge, Griffith's Gnat, and a AR's BWO Adult and Emerger.
...
For subsurface presentation use a Hogan's S&M Nymph, RS-2, Juju Baetis, Arnot's Pocket Drone, Zebra Midge, AR's Perdigon, Kryptonite Caddis, Mini Thin Mint, Juggaret Chocolate Baetis, and a Prairie Doggin Pupa.
