Flows are way low, and the fish are very spooky. Water temps are starting to get pretty high as well, so if you must fish here, super early is recommened. Also rope up on your tippet to land fish as quickly as possible. With the warmer water temps, a lot is hatching, which makes for some excellent dry fly fishing, but sometimes it can take a minute to figure out what bugs the fish are keying in on. Ideally we'll get some rain to cool and raise flows on Bear Creek. Your primary hatches will be PMD's, Crane Fly, Green Drakes, Midges, Yellow Sallys, Terrestrials, BWO's, and Caddis.

For dries, use a Para Ext Body in BWO, Film Critic, Chubby Chernobyl, Superman Caddis, All Season Caddis, Sexton's Grunch, No See Um Hi Viz in BWO, Furminsky Drake, Stimmie, AR's PMD, AR's Brown Drake, Trinas Para Sally, CDC Caddis, and a AR's BWO Adult and Emerger.

For subsurface presentation use a Iron Sally, Rock Grinder, Juju Baetis, Arnot's Pocket Drone, Jig TNT, AR's Perdigon, Kryptonite Caddis, Tung Sassi's Solution, Poundmeister Crane, America Nymph, Split Back PMD, Juggaret Chocolate Baetis, and a Prairie Doggin Pupa.
