Fishing Espíritu Santo Bay is defined by clarity, timing, and opportunity. Vast sand and turtle-grass flats create ideal conditions for permit sight-fishing, with encounters ranging from tailing schools to cruising singles and doubles. Bonefish are plentiful and aggressive, providing consistent action throughout the week, while the surrounding mangrove systems and channels hold resident tarpon and snook year-round.

Days on the water blend technical presentations with variety. Mornings often focus on permit during optimal light and tide windows, while afternoons may shift toward bonefish numbers, backcountry tarpon, or snook along mangrove edges. Mixed-species days are common, and true flats slams are realistic depending on conditions.

Fishing is conducted with a 2:1 guide-to-angler rotation, allowing anglers to focus on clean shots and deliberate presentations rather than rushed opportunities.

Tail Inn Lodge is located in Punta Herrero, a remote coastal village inside the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. This protected setting ensures minimal fishing pressure, pristine water quality, and one of the healthiest flats ecosystems in the Caribbean.

Being based directly on Espíritu Santo Bay allows Tail Inn’s guides to fish efficiently, respond to daily conditions, and consistently put anglers in position for quality shots—advantages that translate directly into better fishing.

To secure your booking, a 50% deposit of the accommodation and guiding tariff is required. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. Credit card payments incur a 3% transaction fee.

Cancellation terms:

Within 90 days of arrival: 25% of accommodation & guiding
Within 60 days of arrival: 50%
Within 45 days of arrival: 75%
Within 30 days of arrival: 100%

If travel is prevented due to official government restrictions related to COVID-19, all payments will be credited toward a future Front Range Anglers trip. Credits are valid for 24 months
