From firm white sand flats where bonefish tail in crystal-clear water to lush turtle grass beds, ocean edges, thick mangrove systems, and remote backcountry creeks; the fishing around Great Harbour Cay does not disappoint.

The Flats
The Berry Islands offer variety:

Target Species

Bonefish (Albula vulpes)
Abundant throughout the Berry Islands.

• Size Range: 2-10+ pounds
• Average: 3-4 pounds
• Habitat: White sand flats, turtle grass, mangroves, backcountry creeks

Permit (Trachinotus falcatus)
The Berry Islands' long-kept secret.

• Size Range: 10-50 pounds
• Locations: Throughout the chain from Chub Cay south to the north end

The Pool
Cool off in the 20x50-foot freshwater pool perched 22 feet above the churning Atlantic on the east side of Great Harbour Cay. The perfect place to sip a cocktail and unwind from your day on the water.

The Airport
The newly rebuilt Great Harbour Cay Airport is only 120 miles east of Miami—a one-hour flight from Florida and just 20 minutes from Nassau. Great Harbour Cay is an official port of entry and can receive private aircraft both large and small.

Weekly Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival

• Fly to Great Harbour Cay (GHC) from Fort Lauderdale or via Nassau
• Clear Customs and Immigration
• Lodge transfer from airport
• Settle into your guest room
• Welcome dinner prepared by Chef Valentina Adderley
• Trip orientation

Days 2-7 – Fishing Days

• Breakfast at lodge
• Depart for guided flats fishing
• Wade white sand flats, fish turtle grass, mangroves, or backcountry creeks
• Target bonefish, permit, mutton snapper, barracuda, triggerfish
• Lunch on the water
• Continue fishing through optimal tides
• Return to lodge
• Cool off in the pool with cocktails
• Dinner featuring fresh Bahamian cuisine

Day 8 – Departure

• Final breakfast
• Transfer to Great Harbour Cay Airport
• Connect to homeward flights

Cancellation Policy

Date Changes:

• 61+ days prior to arrival: Date changes allowed (subject to availability)
• 60 days or less: Date changes not permitted
• $100 per person handling fee for any reservation changes

Cancellations:

• 90+ days prior: 10% penalty; remaining 90% refunded or applied to future trip within one year
• 61-90 days prior: 50% penalty; remaining 50% refunded or applied to future trip within one year
• 60 days or less: No refund or credit
